Arrived last night from the cabin in Nye, Montana. We hiked up to the falls from Woodbine campground on Friday and to Sioux Charlie Lake on Saturday. The hike to Sioux Charlie parallels the raging Stillwater River for much of the 3 mile hike. The beauty is astonishing -- making the choice of what image to post a daunting task.

In the end, I have decided to begin with this image -- a unique capture of bubbling whitewater swiftly moving away from a 40 ft., powerfully loud, waterfall on the Stillwater. Until seeing the image itself, I simply had never noticed the immensity of the bubbles on the water.

Sometimes the camera captures more than the photographer intends. This is definitely such a case.

And as an after thought, I've decided to append this sunset image taken Friday evening as the sun was setting and our time for fishing drew to a close. Enjoy.
